Welcome to Portishead Ladies Bowling Club

We welcome players of all ages and abilities and are always looking to recruit new members so, if you like the idea of some fresh air, a bit of gentle exercise, a lot of fun and a fair measure of friendly competition, why not give it a go?

We have an Open Day around the start of the season each year but, if you prefer something a bit more informal, or you just can't wait, why not contact us about coming along to one of our Monday club sessions?

2025 Captain and President's Day

Portishead Ladies currently play in three local leagues:

North Somerset Triples League
Weston and District Ladies League 

DRT League (Doreen Ralph Trophy)

As well as the leagues we enter teams in both the Southey Cup and the Fear Cup (/Plate).

We also have friendly matches throughout the season with other local ladies teams and a few mixed team friendlies.  These are played both at home and away.

2025 - Portishead Ladies President Pam Taylor and Captain Julie Swift chose Children’s Hospice South West as the recipient of their fundraising held throughout the season.  Amanda Gallagher from CHSW was delighted to receive our £1,200 donation and gave an excellent insight on the fantastic work at Charlton Farm.
